Uganda Premier league side KCCA FC have joined the race for SC Villa’s offensive midfielder Umar Lutalo.

Lutalo seems to be one of the most coveted midfielders in the Uganda Premier League this transfer window as his future at league champions SC Villa looks bleak.

Ethiopian Giants St. George have been handed a major wakeup call in the race to sign Lutalo, with KCCA FC reportedly stepping up their pursuit.

The attacker faces an increasingly uncertain future at record Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa with his contract expiring this month.

Abdallah Mubiru coached side is in the market for attacking midfielder as they hope to return to glory days.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that SC Villa are also keen on extending Lutalo’s contract and the offer is still on the table.

During his three season spell with the league record champions, Lutalo has proved to be a vital and versatile player featuring in a total of 54 league games and scoring 10 goals.

The former Aspire Academy player can ably play as a left back, a left winger and an offensive midfielder.

Lutalo has previously featured for the national U20 Team The Hippos and he is currently part of Paul Put’s Uganda Cranes squad that will face Algeria and Botswana in the World Cup Qualifiers this month.
