Midfielder Adriko announces departure from UPDF FC

Holding midfielder Rodgers Adriko has officially confirmed parting ways with UPDF FC after three years.

Adriko used his official social media platforms to appreciate his now former side,

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the management of UPDF Football Club for welcoming me to this wonderful club, thank you for trusting me , I feel grateful and blessed .”

To my teammates, I thank u for always being there for me, encouraging me , fighting together and always staying as a team in every situation, the bond was really amazing.”

“To the fans, you were indeed amazing, Ambrose, Bakka Brenda, Aleku and Others, you never stopped supporting even in our hard moments, I do appreciate u alot.”

He further appreciated the coaches that he worked with at the Army side,

“Finally I would love to appreciate Manager Brian Ssenyondo for giving me my first opportunity at the club and in Uganda premier league. Coach Pius Ngabo and kiwanuka, thnks alot coaches. I have learnt alot from u. Am honoured.”

“After three years at UPDF Football Club, today I say goodbye and my journey at the club has come to an end till we meet again.”

Adriko is a product of Teranova Academy he also featured for Busiro in the Masaza Cup tournament.

UPDF FC survived relegation on the last day of the recently concluded Uganda Premier League season.

They were in the 13 position with 27 points from 29 games.
