Kisugu Parish, Nsambya Central cruise to victories in Speaker Luba Charles Inter Parish tournament

Speaker Luba Charles Inter Parish tournament resumed over the weekend with several games played at various Playgrounds including night games that were held at Yes centre playground in Nsambya.

The event is fully funded by Makindye Division Speaker Luba Charles who revealed that he wants to transform and inspire change in communities through sports

“Sports has always had a profound impact on society, transcending boundaries and bringing people together. Beyond the realm of entertainment and competition, sports have the power to inspire change and transform communities. Through various initiatives and programs, sports can be harnessed as a catalyst for social change, addressing critical issues such as inequality, discrimination, and lack of access to education and healthcare.” Said Luba

Over the weekend Nsambya Central beat Buziga 5-4 while Kisugu cruised to a 1-0 win over Bukasa.

In the night games Wabigalo Parish overcame Kibuye 1-0 whereas Nsambya Rails and Ggaba shared spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Hon.Nyeko Derrick graced the games over the weekend

The tournament comprises of 20 teams and will run until October this year.

All the 20 participating teams will receive a set of jersey courtesy of Speaker Luba Charles.

The overall winner of the competition will walk away with Bull and Shs1M while the runners up and third placed teams will also be rewarded.
