KCCA FC are in the advanced stages of signing Gaddafi FC offensive midfielder Sharif “Deyawo” Ssengendo.
According to FUFA TV’s Sportlight Show, Ssengendo is expected to join the Lugogo based outfit if all the necessary negotiations go as planned.
He is expected to become the second player to join KCCA from Gaddafi FC in the primary transfer window after Steven Munguchi who was officially unveiled on a three year contract.
Ssengendo who is also a young brother of Hashim Ssempala, is one of the highly rated budding offensive midfielders in the country.
He has enjoyed a meteoric rise with outstanding performances in the Masaza Cup, the University Football League and the regional league before joining the Uganda Premier League at the start of the previous season.
Ssengendo starred for MUBS in the University Football League, CATDA in the Kampala Regional League and Buddu Ssaza in the Masaza Cup among others.
He is also remembered for scoring one of the contenders for the goal of the season as Gaddafi lost 6-1 to KCCA FC at Lugogo on December 1st.
Besides Munguchi, KCCA have also signed youngster Shafik Nana Kwikiriza from BUL FC while Mutwalib Mugolofa and Ashiraf Mugume have been awarded with new contracts.
