After the Stanbic Uganda Cup Final defeat to Kitara FC last month, Rwothomio had confirmed his departure at NEC FC but the latest indicates that negotiations are ongoing for a contract renewal.

During the 2023/24 season, Rwothomio made 26 appearances for NEC FC and scored nine league goals.
