Watenga continues to transform home area in Mbale with staggering generosity

Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Ismail Watenga through his Ismail Watenga foundation made memorable return home by giving back to the people of Nakaloke, Mbale.

Watenga who features for South African side Lamontville Golden Arrows made generous donations during his visit to Mbale Main Hospital and Nakaloke Health center on Sunday.

He also donated scholastic materials and football equipments to Namunsi Primary School.

Watenga was accompanied by fellow footballers, including Arafat Usama, Rogers Mato, James Alitho, Ibrahim Juma, Derrick Ochan, Bashir Mutanda, Duncan Sseninde, Haruna Lukwago, Fazila Ikwaput, Zainah Nandede and friends from Mbale and Kampala.

The day climaxed with friendly match between Friends of Watenga Mbale and Friends of Watenga Kampala, that ended two all draw.

Earlier this year, Watenga launched the Ismail Watenga Foundation at Nakaloke Primary school in Mbale.

He also aims at nurturing young footballers through his Wats Soccer Academy that was founded in 2021.
