Plascon Uganda has boosted the forthcoming International Para Badminton tournament with sponsorship package worth Shs30M.
The Uganda Badminton Association and Plascon Uganda unveiled the package on Friday morning at Plascon head offices in Kampala.
Plascon Managing Director Santosh Gumte revealed why the decided to give support to the Uganda Badminton Association
“This is a new sport that we had never supported, so when they came to us, we couldn’t hesitate to support them. We believe that every sport Unites people and that’s why we have partnered with the Badminton Association to support the Para-Badminton. We are very happy to partner with them and provide the support specifically for this tournament.” Said Gumte
Uganda Badminton Association Chief Executive Officer Simon Mugabi thanked Plascon for their support towards the Para Badminton
“We are humbled to partner with plascon ahead of the Para-Badminton games. We thank them for the support they have rendered to us. We are hopeful of hosting a tremendous tournament.”
This will be the 7th edition of para Badminton and will attract over 250 players from 17 countries from 4 continents; Africa, America, Asian and Europe. It will run from 1st-7th July at Lugogo Indoor.
