Uganda to learn opponents for AFCON 2025 Qualifiers on Thursday

The official draw of the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 Qualifiers will be conducted on Thursday, 4th July in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The draw will comprise of 48 African nations that will be drawn into twelve groups of four teams.

The draw will be conducted live from Johannesburg, South Africa by reigning AFCON winning coach Emerse Faé as well as Moroccan legend, Marouane Chamakh.

The 48 national teams will be seeded into four pots of twelve each based on the most recent FIFA World Rankings that were issued on 20th June, 2024. This means that teams in the same pot will not face each other.

Uganda Cranes who have missed out on the previous two final editions are in pot 2 along with Cape Verde, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Zambia, Benin, Angola, Namibia and Mozambique and Madagascar.
