The Uganda Athletics Federation has announced the team of athletes who will represent Uganda at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The team is headlined by 5000m and 10000m World record holder Joshua Cheptegei, double Commonwealth champion (5000 and 10000) Jacob Kiplimo.
Cheptegei won gold at the Tokyo Games in 5000m and silver in 10000m while Kiplimo smiled to bronze over the 10000m.

Peruth Chemutai who become the first female Ugandan athlete to clinch gold at the Olympic game for her astonishing 3000m steeplechase triumph in Tokyo is also part of the team.
Commonwealth and World Marathon Champion Victor Kiplagat is the other notable athlete on the team.
Besides Cheptegei, Kiplimo and Chemutai, the other Ugandan athletes to win Olympic medals in Athletics are John Akibua (gold in 400m hurdles, 1972 Munich), Davis Kamoga (bronze in 400m, 1996 Atlanta), and Stephen Kiprotich (gold in Marathon, 2012 London).
