Maroons FC have unveiled midfielder Ivan Asaba ‘Di Maria’ as their second signing of the transfer window.
The young creative midfielder has put pen to paper on a two year contract with the Prison Warders.
Despite being one of the most highly rated young midfielders in the country, Asaba has been off the radar for a while.
He has been a free agent since parting ways with Vipers SC at the start of the previous campaign.
He rose through the ranks at Kibuli SS and St. Mary’s Kitende and went on to feature for KCCA Soccer Academy and Vipers Junior Team in the FUFA Junior League.
He is a former national U17 and U20 team player who has previously represented Uganda at the U17 AFCON and U20 AFCON in 2018 and 2021 respectively.
Asaba is the second player to be unveiled by Maroons after defender Apollo Kagogwe who was acquired from Wakiso Giants.
