Maroons FC have confirmed the signing of defender Apollo Kagogwe as their first signing of the transfer window.
Kagogwe has joined the Prisons Warders on a two year contract from Wakiso Giants.
The versatile defender has been an instrumental figure at Wakiso Giants since joining the club in 2022 from Tooro United.
He has enjoyed a meteoric rise that also elevated him to the Uganda Hippos team that won Silver at the All Africa Games in March this year.
” It is a great pleasure for me to join Maroons Football Club from Wakiso Giants,” Kagogwe said during his unveiling.
” It wasn’t a great season for us last season but I’m very grateful that I have joined Maroons Football Club,” He added.
Kagogwe comes in an immediate replacement for Patrick Bayiga who has completed his move to NEC FC.
Defender Jacob Okao is also linked to a move away from the Luzira based club.
Maroons have lost goalkeeper Hannington Sebwalunyo who joined NEC FC while forward Fred Amaku signed for Kitara FC.
