Uganda U-18 team captain Anguti Louis joins Tanzania Premier league club

Uganda National U-18 team captain Anguti Louis Amagu  has joined Tanzania Premier league side Coastal Union FC.

The central defender has joined the Tanzanian side on a two year employment contract from Lugazi Soccer Academy.

Last season, Anguti featured for Lugazi FC as they secured topflight division football after finishing second on the FUFA Big League table.

At Lugazi FC, Anguti is remembered for scoring the all important goal that helped them gain Big League promotion after their victory over Kajjansi United two years ago.

Anguti was also part of KCCA FC U20 side that won the Cambiasso Cup that was held in Tanzania two years ago.

Last year, he played a vital role for the Uganda U-18 national team as they clinched the CECAFA U-18 Boys championship at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kenya.

His new side Coastal Union FC is based in Tanga and play their home games at Mkwakwani and finished fourth on the Tanzania Premier league table last season with 43 points.

They will feature at this year’s CECAFA Kagame Cup and will also represent Tanzania in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
