Kitara FC head coach Brian Ssenyondo believes that his side has had enough preparations for their CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary round first leg contest against Libya’s Al Hilal Benghazi SC.
The Royals will host their first leg fixture at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Libya on Friday night.
”We tested our team quite well with important games like the FUFA Super 8 and two International friendlies which have really helped us assess their performance, among other things. We are impressed with the team coordination, character and more progress is being done. These will be key for us and we hope the boys put up a real show in Benghazi,” said Ssenyondo as quoted by the club website.
Kitara have been boosted by the return of defender Benjamin Nyakoojo who trained with his teammates following a head injury sustained in the FUFA Super 8 semifinal defeat against BUL FC.
Al Hilal Benghazi is the new home for last season’s Uganda Premier league top scorer Muhammad Shaban.
