URA FC have confirmed the departure of striker Shariph Sheen Kimbowa following the expiry of his contract.

Kimbowa joined the Tax Collectors in August 2023 on a two year contract from Wakiso Giants.

The former Busega United has found playing time hard to come his way at URA FC and had a six-month loan stint at Wakiso Giants in the closing half of his first season at the club.

He was consequently dropped in the pecking order behind Ivan Ahimbisibwe and Bruno Bunyaga.

In fact, Kimbowa has only played seven league games in his second and final season at the club and managed to score one goal.

Kimbowa’s departure is expected to kick start an exodus of players who have run out of contract at the club.
