Former Express FC midfielder joins Kenya’s Tusker FC

Kenya Premier League giants Tusker FC have completed the signing of Ugandan midfielder Boban Bogere Zirintusa, pending official unveiling.

The former Express midfielder has been a free agent after his contract with Tanzania’s Biashara United Mara expired at the end of last season.

Zirintusa had a very impressive season with Biashara United Mara in the Tanzanian second tier that saw him score 21 goals with six assists in 23 games.

He is tried and tested player with vast experience having previously featured in Zambia, Zimbabwe, India, Ethiopia and South Africa.

Locally he played for Busoga United and Vipers (formerly know as Bunamwaya) in the Uganda Premier League.

Zirintusa featured for Buildcon (Zambia), Highfield United and Dynamos (Zimbabwe), Mohun Bagan (India), Polokwane City (South Africa) and Ethiopia’s Coffee.

He also played for Tanzanian sides Mtibwa Sugar on two stints and Simba Sports Club.

Zirintusa’s new side Tusker FC are in search of a new coach after long-serving coach Robert Matano left the club last week after six years.

Tusker also handed a new one year contract to Ugandan striker Deogratius Ojok while John Toki Byamukama is another Ugandan player at the club.
