Newcomers Mbale Heroes have signed defender Solomon Opolot on a one year contract, Swift Sports understands.
Opolot has been the Kyetume FC captain in the FUFA Big League for the past two seasons.
He comes in as a direct replacement for Geoffrey Lubangakene who left Mbale Heroes to join SC Villa, as earlier reported by this website.
Opolot has previously played for Blacks Power (formerly Bukedea Town Council) and also features for Teso Province in the FUFA Drum tournament.
He joins a queue of new signings at the Mbale based club that also includes former Vipers forward Umar Kyebatala acquired from Maroons.
Sula Mpanga, Sulaiman Ssesaazi and striker David Tonny Kiberu are the other signings acquired by the club.
