SC Villa and Kitara FC are set to host their CAF games at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende this month.

The two clubs were expected to use Mandela National Stadium in Namboole for their CAF games but it’s likely not to happen.

This is because a running track is to be fixed at Namboole and so they can’t use the venue during the maintenance period.

Namboole is however expected to be ready when Uganda Cranes host Congo Brazzaville in the AFCON 2025 Qualifier with the game scheduled for 9th September.

Kitara are also contemplating from hosting their games away from Uganda.

Kitara are to face off with Libyan side Al Hilal Benghazi in the first CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary round with the latter hosting the first leg between 16-18 August.

The Libyan side is the new home for former KCCA FC and last season’s Uganda Premier league top scorer Muhammad Shaban.

Meanwhile, Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa are to lock horns with Ethiopia Premier league champions Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) in the first round with the first leg expected to be held between 16-18 August.
