Stanbic Uganda Cup winners Kitara FC will host Al Hilal Benghazi in the CAF Confederation Cup 1st preliminary round away from home, it has been confirmed.

Kitara will host Al Hilal at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in Benghazi, Libya on Friday 16th August at 8pm.

This follows the unavailability of Mandela National Stadium, Namboole which was initially submitted as Kitara FC’s home ground for the anticipated continental duel.

“Kitara had initially hoped to host the match in the country but unforeseen circumstances made this unworkable.” Reads part of the statement on the club website.

The second leg of the encounter will be played on Friday 23rd August at the same venue and at the same time.
