Wasajja vows to ensure growth of Rugby in Buganda

Omulangira David Kintu Wasajja the patron of the Uganda Rugby Union has pledged to make sure that the game of Rugby is played in all parts of Buganda and U toganda at large.

He made the remarks after the awarding ceremony of the one day Kabaka Coronation Rugby 7S Cup that was held at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku,

“As we continue to commemorate the 31st Coronation ceremony, we appreciate those that joined the cause, I appreciate the minister Robert Serwanga who has enabled many Coronation anniversary celebrations to take place, the Kabaka’s Coronation is very important in Buganda and we have so many reasons to be happy.”

“The Rugby fraternity targets spreading the game to all schools, communities within Buganda and Uganda at large”

Walukuba Babarians won the men’s category that had seven participating teams, they defeated Life Guard Rams 12-07.

Three teams took part in the ladies catering and Avengers emerged winners after defeating Lady Pacers 07-05.
