Uganda Cranes defender Halid Lwaliwa has completed a move to Saudi Arabian second tier side Al Ain Football Club.
Lwaliwa has been a free agent since parting ways with Bregalnica Stip of North Macedonia as his contract expired.
His new side competes in the Saudi Arabia First Division which serves as the second tier of Saudi Arabian football.
The former Vipers captain is expected to debut when Al Ain visit Al Safa in their new season opener on Tuesday 20th August.
Al Ain will be hoping to compete for promotion to the topflight league having finished 13th on the table in the previous season.
The club also announced the appointment of Portuguese coach Ricardo Sousa as their new manager heading into the new season.
Al Ain Saudi Football Club was founded in 1978 and play their home matches at the King Saud Sport City Stadium.
Lwaliwa has 26 national team appearances with the Uganda Cranes and scored one goal which came against South Sudan at Kitende.
