FUFA Big side Gaddafi FC have appointed Allan Kabonge as their new head coach ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Swift Sports understands Kabonge will work alongside Richard Luyima as his assistant and they have been awarded contracts of one year each.
Kabonge is a tried, tested and proven coach who has guided a number of teams to the Uganda Premier League.
Paidha Black Angels, Onduparaka FC Arum Roses and Masavu FC are the club that Kabonge guided to the UPL.
He also previously worked with Lira United, Impala Hills, Katwe United in the prestigious Masaza Cup tournament Kabonge coached at Busujju and Buwekula.
Luyima handled Kampala Regional League 2023/24 champions Proline FC, his side lost to Buganda Regional League champions Ntungasaze FC failing to earn a FUFA Big League Promotion, he is a former fitness coach at UPL side Soltilo Bright Stars.
Gaddafi FC has also appointed Swaibu Ssebagala as the new goalkeepers coach.
Ssebagala served in the same position at URA FC, Soltilo Bright Stars, Proline FC and Wakiso Giants.
For starters Gaddafi FC was acquired by Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation ( UPPC) they are likely to host their games in Entebbe at Bugonga Fisheries grounds.
