David Bagoole “Tong Po” has joined Wakiso Giants on a one year contract, Swift Sports understands.
Bagoole has parted ways with Vipers SC through mutual contract termination, a year after his return to Kitende.
Bagoole spent the closing half of last season on loan at Gaddafi FC in pursuit of playing time and scored two goals in the 10 games he played.
Wakiso Giants new coaches Steven Bengo and Tony Mawejje convinced Bagoole to join the Purple Sharks in a bid to bolster the team’s creative department.
Bagoole is expected to play an important role in the Wakiso Giants midfield in the upcoming 2024/25 season.
He will also be one of the most experienced players in the Bengo’s squad having previously featured for several clubs like Busoga United, BUL FC, Sofapaka and also Jinja North among others.
He joins the queue of new signings at the club that has James Alitho, Zambian winger Erick Kabamba and Tanzanian duo of Shaibu Mtita and Issack Emanuel Mtengwa.
Lawrence Bukenya, Tevin Kyeyune, Josephat Ayebare, Hudson Mbalire, Vincent Zziwa and Derrick Kaija are the other new signings.
Wakiso Giants will play against Soltilo Bright Stars in their opening match of the season on Sunday 15th September.
