Uganda Cranes travelling squad to face South Sudan in Juba Revealed

Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Joseph Put has named the travelling squad to face South Sudan on Tuesday in Juba.

The Cranes will be seeking a double over their neighbors after a scrappy 1-0 win over the Bright Stars on Friday at Namboole.

The Uganda Cranes contingent safely arrived in Juba. The team will be residing at Pyramid Continental Hotel, Juba.

Bevis Mugabi the scorer of Uganda’s all important goal on Friday headlines the named squad despite missing the recovery session on Saturday due to flu.

Nafian Alionzi (G.K), Charles Lukwago (G.K), Gavin Kizito Mugweri, Isaac Muleme, Timothy Dennis Awany, Arnold Odong, Tadeo Lwanga, Shafik Kwikiriza, Steven Mukwala, Calvin Kabuye who were the unused substitutes in the first leg meeting are part of the team to Juba.

Derrick Nsibambi who was not even on bench for the game in Namboole is also among the players heading to Juba for the return leg fixture.

In fact all the named 27 players that were called for the double header are travelling to South Sudan.

Uganda needs four points in the remaining three games to secure a place in next year’s continental showpiece due in Morocco.
