Qualified Nations: Morocco (hosts), Egypt, Algeria, DR Congo, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Angola.


Eight nations have so far qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations due in Morocco next year after match day four of the qualification campaign.

Record African champions Egypt prevailed to the continental showpiece after their narrow 1-0 win over Bostwana on Tuesday.

The Egyptians have now won four out of four of the qualifier fixtures.

Despite having already qualified as hosts, Morocco also secured a place in the event they will host next year after topping group B of the qualification campaign.

Gabon with seven points, Central African Republic (3) and Lesotho (1) are the three teams that will battle for the remaining slot in group B.

Five time African champions Cameroon progressed after their 1-0 win over Kenya at Namboole and are currently top of Group J with 10 points while Zimbabwe (8), Kenya (4) fighting for the remaining slot.

Algeria, Angola and Sebastien Desabre’s DR Congo are the other four nations that have confirmed their places with maximum points in their respective groups.

Meanwhile, the AFCON qualifiers will resume in November with the final two group games.
