Former Buwekula and Gomba head coach Frank Mulindwa has revealed that coaches are partly to blame for the witchcraft in Ugandan football.
While appearing on his social media platforms, Mulindwa asserted that witchcraft is more rampant in the prestigious Buganda Masaza Cup competition.
“It’s true we coaches are part of the witchcraft in Ugandan football. We have taught our players how to believe in witchcraft instead of teaching them the basics of football. For instance in the Masaza Cup witchcraft is a routine. Some players believe it’s them to score for certain teams to win games since coaches give them witches before games. These things are also in the topflight division.”
” The two things that have ruined the game of football in Uganda are corruption and witchcraft.”
“I therefore call upon fellow coaches to focus on teaching these players more about the game than witchcraft and it’s us coaches to stop the rampant witchcraft.” Said Mulindwa
The tactician also revealed that during his time at Busujju, Buweekula and Gomba he has been critical of witchcraft in the game. Mulindwa is also a former head coach at Royal Giant High School in Mityana.
