NEC FC ended KCCA FC’s unbeaten start to the season with a narrow 1-0 victory at Lugogo on Thursday.
Former KCCA FC midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba scored the all important goal for Hussein Mbalangu coached side.
Mutyaba fired the visitors into the lead with a powerful shot that beat Anthony Emojong after being fed by another KCCA FC player Paul Mucureezi in the 20th minute.
Mutyaba did not celebrate his goal in respect of his former paymasters who had not conceded a goal at home this term before his strike.

NEC FC captain Marvin Kavuma had a golden opportunity to double their advantage midway in the first period but failed to beat Emojong who started in KCCA FC goal following Mutwalib Mugolofa’s suspension.
The home side did not create decent scoring opportunities with Sadat Anaku, Usama Arafat and Saidi Mayanja only forcing NEC FC custodian Hannington Ssebwalunyo into casual saves.
NEC FC held on to maximum points and are currently top of the table with 19 points while KCCA FC are second on 18 points.
Mubiru’s side will next face resurgent Lugazi FC on 30th November at Najjembe Stadium.
