Tooro Queens 2-0 Wakiso Hill

Tooro Queens got their first win of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League season after defeating Wakiso Hill 2-0 at the King Oyo Sports Complex, Bukwali.

Imelda Kasemire and Evelyn Katusiime scored the two goals that claimed the three points for the Rogers Ayesiga coached side.

The game was Frank Mulindwa’s first since taking charge as the new coach of Wakiso Hill having replaced Rogers Nkugwa a week ago.

Kasemire was eventually named as the player of the match after captaining the Country Queens to the crucial victory.

The victory subsequently elevated Tooro Queens from the bottom of the league table. The Country Queens are now 11th with five points from eight games.

Wakiso Hill are now bottom of the table with four points and remain the only club yet to register victory after nine games played.

The Antelopes will host Rines WFC in the Wakiso Derby on Sunday 8th December at Kitende while Tooro Queens will visit Kampala Queens on Saturday 7th at Lugogo.

Lady Doves beat Makerere University 4-1, Rines WFC edged She Corporate 1-0 whereas Amus College beat She Maroons 1-0 in the other games played over the weekend.
