South Africa edged Uganda’s national netball team (She Cranes) 65-50 to clinch the women’s Africa Netball Cup on Saturday at MTC Dome, Swakopmund in Namibia.

Both sides were seeking a third Africa Netball Cup title with the She Cranes last triumph coming in 2018.

South Africa won the first quarter 16-12 and prevailed to a halftime lead of 30-24.

The South Africans extended their lead in the third quarter with a 50-33 score before sealing their victory with a 65-50.

They cruised to victory after winning all the four quarters in the final 17-12, 32-23, 46-29 and 60-39.
