Mutyaba quits Express FC after 7-0 loss

In awake of Express FC 7-0 loss to Kitara fc, one of their assistant coaches Mike Sulaiman Mutyaba has left his role with immediate effect.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that Mutyaba has decided to leave his role at Express following the club’s heaviest league defeat in history overwriting thr 6-1 loss to Police FC during the 2019/20 season.

Mutyaba was appointed in the role in March this year serving under Baker Mbowa who has replaced Alex Isabirye at the helms.

Besides Express FC, Mutyaba served as Standard High Zzana head coach and has previously managed at Nabbingo Young Football Club in the fourth Division.

He was also assistant coach to Simon Peter Mugerwa at Buddu during last year’s Buganda Masaza Cup competition.

As a player, Mutyaba featured for Vipers SC, Congolese side TP Mazembe, Express FC and KCCA FC. He also played for the Uganda U-20 (Hippos) team, U-23 side (Kobs) and the senior team national side (Uganda Cranes).

Express are under the interim stewardship of Badru Kaddu Mukasa who took over following the departure of Mbowa.
