Vipers SC are the latest team to express interest in signing Kitara FC and Uganda Cranes striker Denis Omedi.

Swift Sports reliably understands Omedi is set to complete his move to Singapore Premier League side Brunei DPMM FC.

The move to Singapore is very imminent for Kitara marksman who has not featured for the Royals since 22nd November.

Swift Sports understands Vipers consider Omedi as the missing piece in their attacking force but it is believed their bid for the Puskas Award nominee could be a little too late.

Omedi has a few months left on his contract while Kitara FC openly expressed the willingness to sell the Cranes Star only at the right price.

Omedi is arguably the most sought after Ugandan player this year having earned a double nomination in the FIFA and CAF Awards for the Best Goal of the Year Award.

He played a key role as Uganda Cranes earned qualification back to the AFCON and helped Kitara win the Stanbic Uganda Cup on top of scoring 15 league goals.

His imminent destination, DPMM FC (Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Football Club) is a club owned by is owned by the Crown Prince of Brunei, Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah.

DPMM FC, founded 40 years ago, are two time champions of the Brunei Premier League and three times winners of the Singapore Premier League.
