SC Villa will host their league contest against URA FC on 4th January at Luzira Prison Grounds due to the ongoing renovations at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku which has been the home venue for SC Villa.

The Jogoos have been hosting their home games at Wankulukuku since the 2022/23 season.

With Uganda set to Co-host the 2024 CHAN tournament along with Kenya and Tanzania, Wankulukuku was added to the list of training grounds to be used during the competition.

Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, African Bible University Lubowa and Kyambogo University were the other venues that had been considered but were removed due to factors including traffic Jam and lack of time required for completion.

Renovation works at Wankulukuku will be done on the VIP wing, dressing rooms and toilets and there’s a possibility of installing floodlights at the facility.

The CHAN tournament is slated for February 1st to 28th February in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
