Uganda Premier league side Mbale Heroes FC has confirmed that five players have gone AWOL from Camp.
According to Mbale Heroes, players Pius Kaggwa, Ssesaazi Oscar, Kiberu Tony, Solomon Opolot and Sula Mpanga absconded from duty without leave or permission.
The club revealed that the five players are missing in camp and their conduct is in breach of the club contractual obligations and in violation of the FUFA rules on the status and transfer of players.

Reliable sources however, state that the mentioned players went AWOL due to unpaid salary arrears.
The development comes after the club confirmed the suspension of their head coach Asaph Mwebaze for 28 days.
Mbale Heroes made a return to the Uganda Premier league after spending close to two decades in the lower leagues.
They are currently second from the bottom with just nine points in 13 games they have played.
