Winger Mohammad Ssenoga ‘Kagawa’ has agreed terms to join Uganda Premier League side Express FC on a two year contract, Swift Sports understands.
Kagawa has been a free agent since his unannounced departure Wakiso Giants a season ago.
He has been training with Express since the final bend of the league’s first round in anticipation of a move in the January transfer window.
He is expected to add more firepower in the Express squad whereas Alpha Thierry Ssali is expected to depart for URA FC.
Express will become the third VEK team he has played for having previously featured for KCCA FC and SC Villa.
Kagawa made his Uganda Premier League debut with Tooro United in the 2019/20 season before switching to SC Villa in 2020 and later KCCA in 2022.
He previously featured for St. Mary’s Kitende, Vipers Juniors Team and also Katale and Entebbe Sports Club 00 moving to the Uganda Premier League.
Express is however expected to lose captain Emmanuel Alex Wasswa who will be joining NEC FC in this mid-season transfer window.
