Lady Doves players Resty Kobusobozi and Kampala Queens head coach Asefa Firew Hailegebrealar have been named as the Finance Trust Women Super League player and coach of the month of December.
The duo was rewarded at the function that was graced by FUFA CEO in charge of Football Decolas Kiiza and Finance Trust Bank Head of Strategy, projects and product development Francis Wasswa on Wednesday at the Bank’s Headquarters in Kampala.
Kobusobozi scored seven goals in five games, she featured for Lady Doves in December and won three Women player of the Match Awards.
She beat Kampala Queens duo of Shamusa Najjuma and Shamirah Nalugya to the accolade.
Kampala Queens head coach Hailegebrealar clinched the coach of December gong.
The Ethiopian tactician guided his side to three wins in the four games they played during the month, drawing the other.
He beat Faridah Bulega of Amus WFC and Lady Doves’ Alinaitwe Fred to the accolade. Both Kobusobozi and Hailegebrealar were each rewarded with Shs500,000 and a winner’s plaque.
