Hadijah Nandago has joined Indian Women’s League side Sethu FC after departing FWSL champions Kawempe Muslim.

Nandago’s unceremonious departure from Kawempe Muslim was confirmed as she made her debut for Sethu FC on Tuesday afternoon.

Nandago came off the bench in the 63rd minute as Sethu FC lost 3-0 to Resty Nanziri’s East Bengal Women Football Club.

Nandago’s move to Sethu FC made her the second Ugandan player at the club after Aminah Nababi who joined the club at the start of the season.

She also became the 5th Crested Cranes player in the Indian Women’s League this season, others are Fazila Ikwaput and Joanita Ainembabazi.

Nandago had a meteoric rise at Kawempe Muslim which elevated her to the national U17 and U20 teams as well as the Crested Cranes.

She also had a loan spell at Isra Soccer Academy and Kampala Queens in the FUFA Elite League and the CAF Champions League Qualifiers respectively.

Her departure leaves a void in Kawempe Muslim’s offensive department while heading into the second round of the season.
