Patrick Jonah Kakande’s SC Villa future is suddenly uncertain, Swift Sports Uganda can exclusively confirm.
The playmaker’s current employment contract at the 17 time Uganda Premier league champions will expire at the end of this season.
This website understands that Kakande has offers outside Uganda and recently turned down an offer of Shs18M from SC Villa to renew his stay at the club.
SC Villa want to keep Kakande beyond this season but could be left with nothing to do if both parties fail to reach a resolution.
Kakande was last season’s Most Valuable Player having helped SC Villa to their record extending 17th league title.
Kakande is likely to join a long list of players who have left SC Villa following the expiration of their contracts in recent times such as Gift Fred, Kenneth Semakula, Umar Lutalo, Charles Bbaale among others.
SC Villa finished the first round of the 2024/25 season in eighth position with 20 points and will kick off their second round away to Wakiso Giants FC on Tuesday, 11th February 2025.
