Kenya Premier League side AFC Leopards have unveiled Ugandan goalkeeper Cleo James Ssetuba following his departure from Kakamega Homeboyz.

As earlier reported by this website, Ssetuba signed a two year employment contract with the Leopards.

The lanky shot stopper has been one of the outstanding goalkeepers in the Kenya Premier League this season having raked six clean sheets so far.

Ssetuba joined Kakamega Homeboyz last year from Tanzanian club Biashara Mara United FC.

He also previously featured for Soltilo Bright Stars, URA FC, Nyamityobora FC and Wakiso Giants in Uganda.

He played for the defunct Sony Sugar in Kenya as well as Tanzanian sides Ihefu FC and Mbeya City.

Gor Mahia, Bandari FC, Azam FC (Tanzania) and Uganda’s Gaddafi FC and Express FC are some of the clubs which initially expressed interest in signing Ssetuba.

His departure from Kakamega Homeboyz leaves Pius Wangi and left-back Farouk Musisi as the other Ugandan players at the club.

His new side, AFC Leopards, formed in 1964 (60 years ago), are 12 time winners of the Kenya Premier League.
