Kenya dominated the 14th edition of the East Africa Local Authorities Cultural Association (EALASCA) games that concluded on Friday, 28th February 2025 at Nakivubo Stadium.
Rev, Dr Canon Duncans Mugumya, the commissioner of Physical Education and sports in the Ministry of Education and Sports graced the closing ceremony of the games in Kampala.
Kenyan teams won the football, Athletics, Tug of war, Handball, Pool, Darts, Scrabble, Folk Song, Dance trophies at the games that attracted over 1000 players.
Host nation Uganda smiled to the Netball and Volleyball trophies.
Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi are the countries that participated in the games.
EACoG is a Regional Sports initiative that emanates from the decision of the 20th EAC Council of Ministers, which directed the Secretariat to organize and hold Sports Tournaments on regular basis with partnership of private sector, civil society, voluntary organizations/ institutions/individuals and Development Partners.
