Three time Stanbic Uganda Cup champions Vipers SC prevailed to the quarterfinals with a 3-0 humbling of FUFA Big league entity Blacks Power in the round of 16 contest at Kitende.
Yunus Sentamu, Pedro Sukuya and Livingstone Mulondo scored the three goals for the Kitende based side.
Vipers were without the trio of their starman Allan Okello, midfielder Abdul Karim Watambala and defender Rogers Torach who are with the national team ahead of Thursday’s World Cup qualifier match against Mozambique at Cairo International Stadium.
Striker Kenneth Kimera also missed the game due to injury but the Venoms dominantly surged through.
Sentamu sensationally opened the scoring in the first period after being fed by a quality Sukuya cross.
Sukuya who was impressive found his goal early in the second half before Mulondo completed the scoring moments later as the Venoms progressed.
Vipers who are targeting another historic double join record joint competition winners KCCA FC, nine time winners SC Villa, 2022 winners BUL FC, Police FC, Kaaro Karungi and Kataka FC into the quarterfinals.
