Onyango’s Mamelodi Sundowns kicks off African Tour in Uganda

Mamelodi Sundowns, the home of Uganda Cranes Legend Denis Onyango will kick off their African tour on Thursday in Uganda.

The South African giant football club confirmed the development via their socials

“Mamelodi Sundowns is excited to announce the first leg of our African Tour with the first destination being Uganda, the home of all-time African great & Mamelodi Sundowns legend, Denis ‘Masinde’ Onyango!

Through friendship and football clinics, the goal is to give back to football loving countries across the continent.” Read the statement

Sundowns will tour Onyango’s former school Ntanda College in Butambala on Thursday, 20th March.

On Friday, they will visit Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) and record Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa (Onyango’s former club).

The tour will conclude on Saturday, 22nd March at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo with a football clinic that will start from 9am to 1Pm.
