Table leaders Vipers SC will make a short trip to Wankulukuku to face the outgoing Champions SC Villa on Saturday.

Vipers red hot winning streak means that any side that faces them are automatically the underdogs. They have not dropped points in the second round.  However, they may be facing SC Villa at the wrong time.

The six time league champions are winless away to SC Villa since their 3-1 victory in 2021.

The Venoms were not at their best against in their previous league game against Wakiso Giants but still found a way to win and are strong favourites to wrap up the title this season. Vipers won the reverse fixture 2-1 at Kitende.

For SC Villa, they have not had great season and are currently ninth on the table with 29 points.

The Jogoos lost their first home league game to Maroons FC 2-1 at Wankulukuku and will be aiming to regain their mojo against the champions elect.

SC Villa’s victory will blow the title race open as second placed NEC FC will only be two points below the Venoms.

For, NEC they will cling to the hope that SC Villa have not lost at home to Vipers since 2021.

Team News

Vipers will be without suspended Abdul Karim Watambala while the game comes too early for captain Milton Karisa.

Isaac Ogwang is in contention to feature against his former paymasters.

Key Players

Patrick Jonah Kakande, Elvis Ngonde, Ronald Ssekiganda, Charles Lwanga and veteran winger Sula Matovu are expected to light up the Jogoos.

For Vipers, they will bank on Mr.reliable Allan Okello who is the league’s top scorer with 14 goals, Yunus Sentamu and Kenneth Kimera who recently netted his first goal for the club since his move from Wakiso Giants.
