UPDF FC edged Wakiso Giants 1-0 during their Uganda Premier league contest at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Friday.
The result worsens Wakiso Giants’ situation as they remain in the Red zone.
Samuel Kayongo Ssekamatte scored the all important goal with 15 minutes to regulation time.
The second half substitute who replaced Daniel Kitara struck the only goal for the Bombo based side who returned to winning ways after their 2-1 defeat to KCCA FC.
UPDF are now 10th on the Uganda Premier league table with 27 points while Wakiso Giants are third from the bottom on 14 points.
Wakiso next face fellow relegation candidates Mbale Heroes next Saturday while UPDF host second placed NEC FC on Friday next week.
