Following the appointment of Matia Lule as their new head coach, Police FC have also confirmed his assistants.
The Cops part ways with Simon Peter Mugerwa, his assistant Robert Ssekweyama and goalkeeping coach Kalama Ben Lwanga.
Police thanked Mugerwa for his time at the club in a statement which reads,
“We thank Coach Mugerwa for his services, dedication, commitment, and the time he has spent with the club. His contribution is greatly appreciated and we wish him the very best and continued success in his future endeavors.”
Lule has retained former Uganda Cranes international Nestroy Kizito who will serve as his assistant alongside Ahmed Borini Olima.
Stephen Billy Kiggundu will work as the goalkeeping coach.
Mugerwa left Police FC in 12th on the Uganda Premier league table with 23 points and are also in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Quarterfinals with the draw set for Monday at Kansai Plascon headquarters.
