KCCA FC interim head coach Jackson Magera held his first press conference ahead of their Uganda Premier League clash with BUL FC this weekend at Lugogo.
Magera replaced Abdallah Mubiru on interim basis revealed that the club management tasked him to inspire the club to Uganda Cup glory and help the club finish in a better league position. Mubiru and assistant Kefa Kisala were sacked by the club on Thursday.
“I was given the responsibility of helping the team finish in a better position in the league and win the Uganda Cup.” Said Magera
KCCA FC will lock horns with Kaaro Karungi in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Quarterfinal.
Magera also expects a positive response from the players against BUL FC
“The players are mentally okay, they know it’s upon us to lift ourselves and I know they are going to respond well as far as tomorrow’s game is concerned.” Our target is to come and collect maximum points against BUL so that we can regain our confidence.” Noted Magera
Against BUL, the 13-time League champions will be without Musitafa Mujuzi and Umar Lutalo both down with malaria while Brian Ijara is suspended.
