St Mary’s Kitende to renew rivalry with Buddo in Wakiso Zone Final

St Mary’s Kitende (SMASK) will be seeking to retain their Wakiso Zone Football title when they face off with rivals Buddo SS on Tuesday, 15th April at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

Kitende needed a narrow 1-0 victory over Standard High Zzana (STAHIZA) to progress to the final, thanks Santos Agok’s late goal.

Buddo SS on the other hand needed a 1-0 Semifinal win to overcome Greenlight Islamic SS.

Kitende has managed to win the title four times ( 2016, 2017, 2018 and most recently in 2024).

Buddo has in the past won the title three times in 2019, 2022 and 2023.

All the four teams that reached the semi-finals in Kitende, Buddo, Standard High School Zzana and Greenlight Islamic SS automatically booked their slots for the nationals due in Ngora come May 2025.

Kyadondo SS will take on Madinah Islamic in the Europa final to determine the fifth-placed school that will represent Wakiso.

Meanwhile, St Noa will battle Rines SS in the Women’s final which will be a rematch of last year’s final.
