St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende defended their USSSA Wakiso Zone Boys’ football title with a 2-0 win over arch-rivals Buddo SS on Tuesday at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso
Arafat Nkoola and Santos Agok Manyiel scored in either half as Kitende smiled to yet another title.
Kitende have now won the Wakiso Zone Title a record extending five times following their previous triumphs in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2024.
In the third playoff contest, Standard High School Zzana beat Greenlight Islamic 2-1.
Abubaker Ssekamatte and Benon Lutaaya scored the two goals for Standard High School Zzana while Elvis Kimuli netted a consolation for Greenlight.
Kyadondo SS thrashed Madinah Islamic SS 3-0 to clinch the fifth spot, thanks to Junior Iniesta Odinga hat-trick.
St.Mary’s Kitende, Buddo SS, Standard High School Zzana, Greenlight Islamic and Kyadondo SS will represent Wakiso District in the national due in May this year in Ngora District.
Meanwhile in the Girls Final, St.Noa Zzana needed Slyvia Kabene sole strike to edge Rines 1-0.
