The management team of Buweekula is expected to retain Felix Ssekabuza as their head coach for the 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup tournament.

Ssekabuza led the side to a third place finish last year after beating Kyaddondo in the playoff contest at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.

In the Semifinal they lost 2-1 on aggregate to 2024 runners up Kyaggwe.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that Buweekula are also targeting Anthony Ssekito to work as Ssekabuza’s assistant.

Ssekabuza has previously served at record Masaza Cup winners Gomba whom he led to the 2023 final before losing to Bulemeezi. In 2022 while working under Simon Peter Mugerwa they guided Busiro to their first ever Masaza Cup triumph beating Buddu 2-1.

He has also served as assistant coach at two time Masaza Cup champions Ssingo.

He also made history when he guided St Julian to a historic USSSA National Football title beating Amus 3-0 in the final held in Masaka last year.

This year, Ssekabuza made history when he led non-league side Football Classroom to the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 before losing to FUFA Big entity Buhimba Saints.

Buweekula have never won the prestigious Buganda Masaza Cup tournament but have twice reached the final in 2012 and 2021.
