Kitara have been handed a huge boost ahead of their Stanbic Uganda Cup Semifinal first leg against Vipers SC on Saturday at Kitende, with Patrick Kaddu and George Ssenkaaba returning to the team.
The pair missed Kitara’s league games against SC Villa and Wakiso Giants due to FUFA suspensions after the chaotic Uganda Cup match against BUL at Butema.
Wasswa Bbosa’s side will be without Titus Ssematimba who was sent off in the 1-0 quarterfinal win over BUL FC in recent weeks.
Defender Benjamin Nyakoojo is also in contention to face his former paymasters after recovering from injury.
The Venoms beat nine time Stanbic Uganda Cup winners SC Villa in the quarterfinal and have no injury concerns ahead of the contest.
Last season the two sides faced off in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Quarterfinal with Kitara edging the Venoms on penalties after a 2-2 stalemate.
Vipers are however unbeaten against Kitara in normal time their previous six meetings, winning four and two ending in stalemates.
The Royals went all the way to clinch their maiden Uganda Cup trophy beating NEC FC 1- 0 in the final that was held at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku. Solomon Okwalinga netted the all important goal.
