Uganda Crested Cranes head coach Sheryl Botes has named a squad of 20 players for the forthcoming 2025 CECAFA Women’s Championship due in Tanzania.
The team is dominated by local based players with only Margaret Kunihira who features for Caessia Queens in Tanzania the only foreign based player in the team.
Uganda are the reigning champions will be aiming at retaining the title in Tanzania.
The event will take place from 12th – 21st June 2025 at the Azam Complex in Chamazi and will be played in a round robin format.
Hosts Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, South Sudan and Kenya are the countries that will participate in the championship.
Crested Cranes Team is to fly out to Tanzania on Tuesday, 10th June 2025.
