Left back Herbert Achai is expected to return to KCCA FC this transfer window, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Achai left the Lugogo based in 2024 following expiration of his employment contract and joined seven time UPL champions Express FC on a one year deal.
Achai quickly proved to be one of the top performers at Express FC in the just concluded season featuring at both left back and in central defence.
Following an impressive campaign at the Red side, KCCA FC are ready to resign the defender this transfer window.
In his first stint, Achai served as one of the assistant captains at the Lugogo based side.
The 13-time Uganda Premier league champions are expected to appoint a new head coach this month. They finished the 2024/25 campaign in fifth position with 50 points and 19 points adrift of champions Vipers SC.
KCCA FC also reached the Stanbic Uganda Cup final last season losing to Vipers SC 2-0 at Kadiba Stadium in Mengo.
